3D Design CAD

Our technical office is equipped with all the necessary CAD tools for the realization of 2D, 3D drawings starting from the model, from the three-dimensional object or model and we carry out the digitalization of paper drawings.

We create 3D models from plants, elevations and sections, from sketches or objects.

Engineering, object industrialization and processing of the same to make it ready to be produced with our production technologies - injection molding, rapid prototyping with FDM materials, thermoplastic molding and blanking.

Our technical office manages the project starting from an idea, planes and sections, from sketches or objects; First of all, we must identify those parts of industrial design considered critical to find the best solutions in order to obtain the desired result, these choices may be the result of common decisions imposed by the client himself, or the result of experimental results achieved through prototypes made with our Fortus 450mc printer.

Subsequently we will proceed with the realization of the project, which will be viewed together with the client in all its parts to obtain approval for its complete development.

This last phase will include the realization of assembly drawings, construction drawings, basic lists and obviously all the necessary documentation for the realization of the project.

3D Printing

PLASTIROMA srl purchased the Fortus 450mc 3D printer to create resistant, robust, precise and working prototypes like the final product. Fortus 450mc 3D printers set a high standard in terms of speed, performance and accuracy.

Production Thermoplastics: You will be able to use many of the standard, technical and high performance thermoplastic materials used in traditional manufacturing processes.

Construction dimensions: Fortus 450mc: 406 x 355 x 406 mm.

Level of precision: The components are produced with a precision margin of ± 0.127 mm or ± 0.0015 mm / mm, with the best value prevailing between the two.

(The accuracy depends on the geometry The specification of the level of precision is deduced on the basis of statistical data at 95% of the dimensional yield).

Thanks to our experience and our technical equipments, we succeed in DESIGNING, DRAWING and BUILDING every kind of MOLD.

After a meticolous designing performed with CAD systems, the processing takes place in our workshop equipped with four axis machine tools,

wire and plunge spark erosions, lathes, grinders, etc. This makes our products the best in accuracy, cost-efficiency, functionality and productivity.

THERMOPLASTIC material department is made of injection presses, with clamping forces between 60 and 750 tons.

TERMOSETTING composition department has vertical presses, with clamping forces between 30 and 450 tons.

Moreover, we have a set of accessories as dryng ovens, dehumidifiers, thermoregulators for mold conditioning, coolers, feeders, granulators and conveyor belts with sprue separators.

Laboratory And Tools

In order to improve our quality standards and to meet customer demands, our plant includes a workshop equipped with modern machinery to perform various kinds of tests on every type of plastics.

Calibrated equipments allow to check the quality of the end-item and to verify whether it meets purchaserís specifications. The tools in our plant allow to make tensile, extension, bending, compression,

izod, water absorption, superficial hardness and density tests. We have also digital tools as multimeters for electrical units, luxmeter for photometric measurements, digital gauge, projection comparators,

surface gauges and micrometers for dimensional checks of the end-item and during the production steps.
