Our history: over 60 years of innovation

The PLASTIROMA SRL was founded in 1960 by Engineer Guglielmo Federici. In 1966, Giorgio Cherici took over the company and assumed management, launching operations at the historic headquarters on via Salaria in Rome.

From our very origins, we have catered to the most diverse industrial sectors. Over the years, we have consolidated our market position through prestigious partnerships, specializing in the production of technical items for the transportation and railway signaling sectors. Indeed, it is no coincidence that RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana Spa) is one of our major clients.

Who we are today

In 1972, we relocated our operations to Via Tiburtina in Rome, before evolving even further. Today, we operate out of a modern facility in Guidonia Montecelio:

• Surface area: approximately 1,800 sqm of manufacturing space.
• Team: a workforce of 24 highly specialized employees.
• Values: the professionalism and dedication that have always defined us.

Our services and production

We have been active in the plastics processing industry for over sixty years. Our facility is fully equipped for contract molding of high-tech thermoplastic materials. We manufacture items of all kinds, with a specific focus on technical components:

• Production capacity: from a few grams up to a maximum of 9 kg.
• Complementary processing: assembly, welding, bonding, and silk-screen printing.
• Integrated solutions: mold design and construction, as well as rapid prototyping.

Our entire management model ensures that every process is strictly organized, controlled, and managed throughout the supply life cycle—from material acquisition to final delivery.

• RINA & ACCREDIA Accreditation: Our corporate quality system is certified by the prestigious RINA body, an official member of CISQ.
• IQNet International Certificate: Issued concurrently with the RINA certificate, it grants us access to the world’s largest network for corporate management assessment.

Plastiroma Srl respects the environment! We have equipped ourselves with a 100 KW photovoltaic system. 70% of the energy consumed for our business activity is derived from solar energy.

QUALITY POLICY

Plastiroma's mission is to support Customers in achieving success when realizing their objectives. Plastiroma is therefore committed to ensuring the improvement and efficiency of the services rendered, achieving increasingly better results both from an economic standpoint and regarding the satisfaction of Customer needs in terms of Quality, reliability, safety, and punctuality.

Plastiroma therefore aims to continue on the path of Quality improvement, with a view to expanding its range of products and services in order to respond to growing Customer demands.

Plastiroma has determined the external and internal factors relevant to its purposes and strategic direction that influence its ability to achieve the expected results for its Quality Management System. This assessment is included in specific documented information, updated at least annually or upon changes to the analyzed factors. This analysis leads to the consequent evaluation of risks/opportunities and any mitigation actions.

Plastiroma directs the efforts of all personnel toward careful management of quality-related issues. In particular, this must be pursued in relation to the following strategic objectives:

• Identify the Customer's needs and expectations, convert them into requirements, and comply with them;
• Activate communication tools both inside and outside Plastiroma to organize an effective information flow between the company, customers, and suppliers, ensuring that the needs of the latter are known and understood among all those who contribute to the creation of the products;
• Improve process efficiency;
• Activate an adequate self-assessment system for the Quality Management System that allows for measuring activities, neutralizing problems, and providing Management with suitable elements to perform reviews;
• Prevent non-conformities rather than acting to eliminate them after the fact;
• Maintain the safety and comfort of work environments and implement measures for accident prevention.

To achieve these objectives, Plastiroma must involve all employees at every level as well as suppliers in its quality policy, and apply documented systems, training, communication, and audit actions, along with suitable methods to define appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

With this in mind, Plastiroma must maintain and update its Quality Management System in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, constantly improve it, and ensure adequate information regarding the Quality Policy is shared with its Customers, Suppliers, and Institutions.
