3D Design CAD

Our technical office is equipped with all the necessary CAD tools for the realization of 2D, 3D drawings starting from the model, from the three-dimensional object or model and we carry out the digitalization of paper drawings.

We create 3D models from plants, elevations and sections, from sketches or objects.

Engineering, object industrialization and processing of the same to make it ready to be produced with our production technologies - injection molding, rapid prototyping with FDM materials, thermoplastic molding and blanking.

Our technical office manages the project starting from an idea, planes and sections, from sketches or objects; First of all, we must identify those parts of industrial design considered critical to find the best solutions in order to obtain the desired result, these choices may be the result of common decisions imposed by the client himself, or the result of experimental results achieved through prototypes made with our Fortus 450mc printer.

Subsequently we will proceed with the realization of the project, which will be viewed together with the client in all its parts to obtain approval for its complete development.

This last phase will include the realization of assembly drawings, construction drawings, basic lists and obviously all the necessary documentation for the realization of the project.

PLASTIROMA srl has purchased, the 3D printer Fortus 450mc to create prototypes resistant, robust, precise and functional as the final product. The Fortus 450mc 3D printers set a high standard in terms of speed, performance and precision.

 Production Thermoplastics: You can use many of the standard, technical and high-performance thermoplastics used in traditional manufacturing processes.

 Construction Dimensions: Fortus 450mc: 406 x 355 x 406 mm.

 Accuracy Level: Components are produced with an accuracy margin of ± 0.127 mm or ± 0.0015 mm/mm, whichever is better. (The accuracy depends on the geometry. The precision level specification is deduced from the statistical data at 95% of the dimensional yield).

MOULD DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Thanks to our experience and the technological tools available, we are able to DESIGN, DRAW and BUILD any type of thermoplastic mold, thermoset, shear or equipment.

 

A meticulous design with the use of CAD systems is followed by machining in our workshop equipped with five-axis control machine tools, wire and die-sinking EDM, lathes, grinding machines …

 

 

All this makes our moulds the best you can find in terms of precision, economy, functionality and productivity.

MOULDING DEPARTMENT

 The THERMOPLASTICS department is composed of technologically advanced injection moulding machines, from 60 up to a maximum of 1300 tons of clamping force.

 The THERMOINDURING department has vertical presses from 30 to 450 tons of clamping force. We also have a series of accessory equipment such as dryers,

dehumidifiers, temperature controllers for mould conditioning, chillers, feeders, granulators and conveyor belts with sprues separators.

LABORATORY AND INSTRUMENTS

Our company, in order to improve its quality standards and in response to the needs of the customer, has set up at its plant a laboratory equipped with climatic chamber, equipped with modern machinery for the execution of tests of various kinds on any type of plastic material. The equipment, duly calibrated, allows to perform quality controls on the finished product and therefore to verify that it conforms to the SPECIFICATIONS of the customer. The instruments in our possession allow us to perform tests of traction, elongation, bending, compression, izod resilience, water absorption, surface hardness and density. We also have digital instruments such as multimeters for measurements of electrical quantities, luxmeter for photometric measurements, digital calibers, profile projectors, truschini and micrometers for dimensional checks during the production phases and on the finished product.
